ABOUT
Viscaya Wagner is a multidisciplinary designer and artist based in Burlington, Vermont. She creates spaces, objects, and artwork that prompt us to consider our own inhabitation of the world — bringing depth, form, and humanity to our surroundings.
Integrating art forms into our everyday spaces and rituals, Viscaya's work ranges from spatial design, bespoke furniture, functional objects, and custom artwork. With each discipline, she subtly exhibits warmth, tactility, and simplicity of form, emphasizing the dynamic force between discoverability and familiarity.
APPROACH
I begin each project by developing a cohesive framework of ideas that will define our forms, materials, and use of space. These ideas are something we return to at every stage of the project to guide our decisions and create a honed experience that responds to the project’s specific location, environment, and functional needs.
My approach is holistic, exploring details both foundational and nuanced to express the narrative of a space. I value a collaborative relationship with the builders and craftsmen we work with to ensure a highly thoughtful process and final result.
